Personal Trainers at Gym64 in Fife

Looking for a personal trainer in Fife? Perhaps you’re unsure about the role of a personal trainer?

A personal trainer, or PT, is a certified professional equipped with the knowledge, skills, and expertise to guide clients through safe and effective exercise routines. At Gym64, our personal trainers are dedicated to helping clients customize their workouts to achieve their unique fitness goals.

Whether your aim is fat loss, muscle gain, or improved athletic performance, our personal trainers will design a tailored program to support you every step of the way. They provide invaluable guidance, support, and motivation to ensure you stay on track and achieve your goals.

What sets our Gym64 personal trainers apart is their commitment to their clients. Many of them also serve on our fitness team, which means you’ll often find them on the gym floor or leading our classes. They understand the challenges of starting at a new gym and the uncertainty that can come with it. Rest assured, we have personal trainers available at all of our branches, including Dunfermline Gym, Kirkcaldy Gym, and Glenrothes Gym.

What are the advantages of having a Personal Trainer?

Mastering Proper Exercise Technique: One of the key benefits of working with a Personal Trainer is the opportunity to learn and execute exercises correctly and safely. With their guidance, even experienced gym-goers can improve their workout efficiency by targeting the right muscles and minimizing the risk of injuries.

Accessing Professional Expertise: Personal Trainers possess extensive knowledge of human anatomy and the most effective training methods. By working with them, you can benefit from their expertise without the need for personal research or trial and error, saving both time and effort.

Overcoming Personal Limits: A Personal Trainer’s passion and support can inspire you to push beyond your comfort zone. Whether it’s breaking plateaus or setting new personal records, their guidance and encouragement make it easier to achieve your fitness goals.

Accountability and Consistency: Maintaining consistency on a fitness journey can be challenging. Having a Personal Trainer by your side provides an added level of accountability, motivating you to stay dedicated and making faster progress towards your health and fitness goals.

Customized Training Programs: Fitness is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Personal Trainers create personalized workout programs tailored to your specific needs, abilities, and objectives. This ensures that your fitness routine is both challenging and attainable, maximizing your chances for success.

Optimizing Workout Efficiency: With a Personal Trainer, you can maximize the effectiveness of your workout routines. They help you make the most out of every minute spent in the gym, ensuring that each exercise contributes effectively to your overall fitness objectives.

PERSONAL TRAINERS BIOS

Kevin mackie

Hi, I’m Kevin and I am a Personal Trainer at the Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline branch of Gym64. I recently spent 10 years in the army as a Physical Training Instructor I have a vast amount of coaching experience in all aspects of fitness. Having trained thousands of serving soldiers and also recruits at the Infantry Training Centre, guiding them on their 6month journey from a civilian to fit and robust soldiers. Whether your goal is to build muscle, lose fat, improve endurance or just enjoy coming to the gym and progress on your journey. I am the right coach to help you achieve your goals. Fitness is not only a job to me but it’s my life. I train most days and currently enjoy balancing competing in ultramarathons and doing resistance training for my overall health and wellbeing. Please come and have a chat, I am a big friendly guy who loves getting to know people as individuals and help improve their lives both in and out of the gym

Jorge Bishop

Hi everyone! My name is Jorge and I’m the new fitness trainer here at Gym64. I got into fitness through my martial arts which I have done since I was 4 years old and achieved the rank of 1st Dan in Seibukan Karate which is my main style. From that I’ve gained a massive interest in fitness and it led me to decide to do my Personal Training qualification after the pandemic! I’ve been actively training clients now for just shy of 18 months and I do a mixture of Group Training, 1to1 Personal Training and Classes. I really enjoy building a rapport with the clients and helping them towards their personal and fitness goals! I will also be on the Gym Floor whether working or working out so feel free to come have a chat and let’s get fit together!
Personal Trainer Jamie Allan

Jamie Allan

Hi, I’m Jamie, I started JamieAllanFitness in Feb 2021, picking up my level 3 pt, a degree in S&C and other qualifications along the way but I don’t want to bore you with that. I’ve played football since I was 9 so my background in health and fitness comes from that. My main goals are to make my business as big as possible, helping as many people along the way and testing myself physically through my football and pushing myself at fintess events every year. I’m always up for a chat so feel free to reach out with any questions or to come up to me in the gym and say hello(even if I look like I’m raging, I promise you I’m not) How I can help you? My program (ThePerformanceProgram) will meet you where your at on your fitness journey whether your just starting out or you’re looking to double down on your progress, without becoming miserable (hence why it’s called the performance program). We solve 3 main problems; low confidence in and out of the gym. You will learn how to get the results you want, you’re likely sick of going round in circles, getting completely thrown off by illness injury and life and finally you will never need to think about what your doing, you’ll know what to eat, what to train, how to train and how to make it fit into your lifestyle.
Personal Trainer Neil Elbourne

Neil Elbourne

Hi I’m Neil, I am a 59 year old PT with more than 16 years of experience of working in fitness. I’ve always had an interest in sport and fitness since I was a child. Played a lot of football when I was younger and have also been a keen cyclist. I took up weightlifting when I was 42, following a career change. Studied Sports Therapy at first, completing my HND in 2004 at Edinburgh College. This was followed by a first class Honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science in 2006 at Edinburgh’s Napier University. My final academic qualification was a Postgraduate Diploma in Strength and Conditioning at the University of Edinburgh in 2007. Between 2008-2017, I worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at various organisations, including Cricket Scotland, Scottish Rugby, Boroughmuir Rugby and on West Lothian’s Excellence in School Sports programme. The highlight of this period was attending the 2010 Women’s Rugby World Cup with the Scotland Women’s team as their S&C coach. I have also completed a level 2 qualification in Weightlifting with the UKSCA and am a Level 1 weightlifting coach with British Weightlifting. I started personal training in 2011, working out of various gyms in Edinburgh. My main interest is in all aspects of weightlifting and strength. However, I am happy to work with anyone, whether they are beginners or more experienced, male or female and any age group as I have worked with age groups from children to older adults. If you are interested in learning more about weightlifting, getting stronger or just generally fitter, then I can help you achieve your goals. No fads involved, just tried and tested methods that work.
Personal Trainer Martin Porter

Martin Porter

Hi, my name is (Martin) Porter of PorterPT. My training approach is more strength based, a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to technique and love seeing clients get stronger, fitter, change their lifestyle habits to lose weight and build muscle. My passion was always competing in powerlifting and i first competed in 2016, i have now moved over to coaching clients in powerlifting, from regional level. all the way up to worlds, having a British champion and coached clients to Scottish and British records.
Personal Trainer Gav McCann

Gavin McCann

Hi, I’m Gav, I’ve been working in Gym64 Kirkcaldy branch since the day it opened. Over my 26 years as a Personal Trainer, I’ve worked in many gyms around the Fife and Edinburgh areas, I can honestly say Gym64 is the best I’ve worked in by a long way. Gym64 has given me opportunities to develop my business, without them I wouldn’t be where I am today and working here most definitely restored my passion for the fitness industry, just at the right time. I train clients mostly in the Kirkcaldy branch but also do a few hours training in Glenrothes. If you’re interested in coaching then get in touch. I rarely have in-person spaces available but will happily discuss online coaching to guide you towards you goals.

Personal Trainer Cieron Kernaghan

Cieron Kernaghan

Hi, I’m Cieron and I’m a personal trainer at Gym64 Dunfermline, but you’ll probably know me as ‘Limitless Coaching’ I have a great amount of experience in all aspects when it comes to training in the gym, be it physical or mental health. I started right from the bottom and worked hard to get where I am today, from being riddled with anxiety or ‘gym-phobia’ to now being in a position to help many people overcome the same struggles I have had. I run Limitless Coaching along side my fiancé Kerrie, who is based in Gym64 Glenrothes. Together we have created a fantastic community of people who are all at different stages in their gym-life, yet never hesitate to help and encourage each other towards that goal of theirs. Whether it’s a marathon you’re wanting to run, a PB in deadlifting or even just help and guidance with your first steps into fitness, you’ll fit right in with the team. We love to hold events and meet-ups to bring everyone together that’s part of Limitless Coaching, the latest being a breath-work and ice bath workshop. Sound like something you want to be a part of? Head over to my Instagram and click the link in my bio
Personal Trainer Daniel Mclaughlin

Daniel Mclaughlin

Hi I’m Dan from Danny Mac Fitness I’ve been a PT for 5+ years, specializing in helping clients with their technique and form. I started PT’ing in gyms in Perth and Dundee then started working for Gym64 2 years ago. Working between Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes covering Spin, HIIT, abs and circuit classes while taking on clients. I help clients with their technique, form, improve their gym experience, get ready for holidays, lose fat and build muscle. If you would like to contact me for help with Fat loss, Weightlifting, Technique improvement, motivation and a accountability.

Kerrie Graham

Hey hey! I’m Kerrie, I created Limitless Coaching in 2022 following my first year as coach as ‘KerrieGPT’ I chose to re-brand the business because my goal is so much more than being a one man band and solely focusing on taking people through a 1-1 session once per week in the gym, I’ve built a community of people who all strive for success, encourage each other, achieve things they never thought possible and celebrate wins big or small. Having an eating disorder myself is what led me to work in the fitness industry in the beginning so to be able to help others become healthier, happier and focus on their all round physical and mental well being is super important to me and I can truly say I love what I do. I’ll support you throughout your journey as you gain uncompromising confidence across your life, more me-time, control and compassion towards how you look, think and feel, giving you everything you need to make that happen and nothing you don’t. I’m all about having a good time, enjoyment and fulfilment so you’ll never be advised to eat unseasoned chicken and plain rice for 6 weeks in order to look shredded for a short period of time, no quick fixes here at Limitless, let me help you kick-start your journey!

Caz Welch

Hi, I’m Caz, I have been in the fitness industry for over 8 years now. I love being able to work with all types of people and their fitness goals. If you want to fit into that one pair of jeans you’ve had for years or that dress you want to wear on you holiday, I’m here to help you achieve this. Wanting to change your training into a different area like strength, conditioning, HIIT, endurance? Recovering from an injury and needing help to get back to yourself? Wanting to enhance your skills in your specific sport, build more muscle, loose body fat? – I’m here to help you achieve these goals. Not only will you get a specific programme to you, you will get personal nutrition advice and weekly check-in’s. Even a little interested? Get in touch!
