Welcome to our Glenrothes Gym

In 2019 following on from our success with Gym 64 Dunfermline and Gym 64 Kirkcaldy we opened our third Gym 64 Glenrothes. The fitness world has always been full of fads and gimmicks and we were tired of the trends and tricks played out within our industry.  So for a third time we decided to create something better…

“Gym 64 are a family run business and passionate about people and fitness. Focusing on creating sustainable performance through science, education and elite level coaching. Everything we do is designed to enrich our clients experience through innovative sessions, knowledge-based approaches and tailored fitness regimes.”

MEET OUR PERSONAL TRAINERS

Personal Trainer Martin Porter

Martin Porter

Hi, my name is (Martin) Porter of PorterPT. I have been in the fitness industry for over 10 years now, my journey started from being overweight, unhealthy and unhappy with my lifestyle, to losing 6st and doing a full 360 and making a career out of helping individuals get healthier, stronger and happier within themselves. My training approach is more strength based, a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to technique and love seeing clients get stronger, fitter, change their lifestyle habits to lose weight and build muscle. My passion was always competing in powerlifting and i first competed in 2016, i have now moved over to coaching clients in powerlifting, from regional level. all the way up to worlds, having a British champion and coached clients to Scottish and British records.
Personal Trainer Neil Elbourne

Neil Elbourne

Hi I’m Neil, I am a 59 year old PT with more than 16 years of experience of working in fitness. I’ve always had an interest in sport and fitness since I was a child. Played a lot of football when I was younger and have also been a keen cyclist. I took up weightlifting when I was 42, following a career change. Studied Sports Therapy at first, completing my HND in 2004 at Edinburgh College. This was followed by a first class Honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science in 2006 at Edinburgh’s Napier University. My final academic qualification was a Postgraduate Diploma in Strength and Conditioning at the University of Edinburgh in 2007. Between 2008-2017, I worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach at various organisations, including Cricket Scotland, Scottish Rugby, Boroughmuir Rugby and on West Lothian’s Excellence in School Sports programme. The highlight of this period was attending the 2010 Women’s Rugby World Cup with the Scotland Women’s team as their S&C coach. I have also completed a level 2 qualification in Weightlifting with the UKSCA and am a Level 1 weightlifting coach with British Weightlifting. I started personal training in 2011, working out of various gyms in Edinburgh. My main interest is in all aspects of weightlifting and strength. However, I am happy to work with anyone, whether they are beginners or more experienced, male or female and any age group as I have worked with age groups from children to older adults. If you are interested in learning more about weightlifting, getting stronger or just generally fitter, then I can help you achieve your goals. No fads involved, just tried and tested methods that work.
Personal Trainer Jamie Allan

Jamie Allan

Hi, I’m Jamie, I started JamieAllanFitness in Feb 2021, picking up my level 3 pt, a degree in S&C and other qualifications along the way but I don’t want to bore you with that. I’ve played football since I was 9 so my background in health and fitness comes from that. My main goals are to make my business as big as possible, helping as many people along the way and testing myself physically through my football and pushing myself at fintess events every year. I’m always up for a chat so feel free to reach out with any questions or to come up to me in the gym and say hello(even if I look like I’m raging, I promise you I’m not) How I can help you? My program (ThePerformanceProgram) will meet you where your at on your fitness journey whether your just starting out or you’re looking to double down on your progress, without becoming miserable (hence why it’s called the performance program). We solve 3 main problems; low confidence in and out of the gym. You will learn how to get the results you want, you’re likely sick of going round in circles, getting completely thrown off by illness injury and life and finally you will never need to think about what your doing, you’ll know what to eat, what to train, how to train and how to make it fit into your lifestyle.

Jorge Bishop

Hi everyone! My name is Jorge and I’m the new fitness trainer here at Gym64. I got into fitness through my martial arts which I have done since I was 4 years old and achieved the rank of 1st Dan in Seibukan Karate which is my main style. From that I’ve gained a massive interest in fitness and it led me to decide to do my Personal Training qualification after the pandemic! I’ve been actively training clients now for just shy of 18 months and I do a mixture of Group Training, 1to1 Personal Training and Classes. I really enjoy building a rapport with the clients and helping them towards their personal and fitness goals! I will also be on the Gym Floor whether working or working out so feel free to come have a chat and let’s get fit together!

Caz Welch

Hi, I’m Caz, I have been in the fitness industry for over 8 years now. I love being able to work with all types of people and their fitness goals. Wanting to change your training into a different area like strength, conditioning, HIIT, endurance? Recovering from an injury and needing help to get back to yourself? Wanting to enhance your skills in your specific sport, build more muscle, loose body fat? – I’m here to help you achieve these goals. Not only will you get a specific programme to you, you will get personal nutrition advice and weekly check-in’s. Even a little interested? Get in touch!
